Denji, mistreated by everyone his whole life, finally finds a shot at fulfilling his dream. His life in the hell hole of debt is finally over and now, with Pochita in his heart, he will aim to grab hold of all the things he wishes for. We are very excited to see him begin his journey in Chainsaw Man Episode 2.
People who had no prior knowledge of the series definitely were shocked. Although classified as shonen, Chainsaw Man pulls no punches when it comes to gore. And in this episode, we saw MAPPA studio bring all that chaos from the manga to life.
To be honest, the Chainsaw Man manga art is very unpolished and gritty. However, that actually suits the tone of the series perfectly. We thought that adapting to such messy work is hard but MAPPA studio did an amazing job with it. And the buckets of blood flowing out reminds us of the 90s anime.
The world is filled with Devils. And hence, the job of a devil hunter is quite lucrative. Denji’s newfound power is nothing short of incredible and we hope that he will learn its full potential as we go forward. We are excited to see some more battles in Chainsaw Man Episode 2.
Chainsaw Man Episode 2 Release Date
The series comes out every Wednesday at midnight, according to JST. Chainsaw Man Episode 2 will be airing on 19th October 2022, in Japan. The episode name has not been released yet, but it should be, “The place where Pochita is”.
But that is just the Japanese version. The English sub will be released worldwide at varying times. Up ahead, we are giving out the release timings worldwide. Please match these with yours and you will be good to go.

Chainsaw Man Episode 1 Short Recap:
Denji is an orphan riddled by a massive debt his dad left him. He works tirelessly every day and lives in extreme poverty. His employer thinks of him as a dog. He works hard and is very cheap. The only one he has in life is Pochita, his devil dog. Denji dreams of a better day – he wishes to have a better, normal life.
All he wanted, was to have better conditions. But things took a turn for the worse. The Yakuza contracted with the Zombie Devil, who lured him in, stabbed him to death, chopped him up into pieces, and threw him in the garbage.
Pochita decided to fuse with Denji’s heart, thereby healing him completely.
And thus, Denji became the chainsaw man. He massacred the Yakuza and the Zombie Devil, finally being free of his debt. In the end, a woman from the Public Safety Commission comes and hires him as a Devil Hunter.

Episode 2 Spoilers:
- The woman at the end of the last episode is Majima, and from now on, she is Denji’s owner.
- As she treats him nicely, giving him food and clothing, Denji realizes that he is in love!
- However, pretty soon he realizes, he is not Majima’s employee; he is her pet.
- Denji get’s his first assignment, where he has to go and save someone’s daughter from the devil.
- In the woods, Denji is tricked by the Muscle Devil. He is reminded of his days with Pochita, leading him to let his guard down.
- As he thinks that he wants to run away with a small child and a cute devil, things go wrong.
- The muscle devil captures Denji and he might fail his very first assignment.
