Hunter x Hunter Volume 37 came out last month. And in November, it managed to rake in a little less than 750 thousand copies sold. That is such an impressive feat, given that the series is coming back from hiatus after such a long time.
It was all going so well. Meteor City is a place where it is hard to find happiness. The troupe finally found something great for themselves. But they were destined to face pain.
Seeing a beloved member chopped up and put in a bag – shook up all the kids. And thus, we will see how they have all grown and formed the troupe in HxH 398.
Hunter x Hunter 398 Release Date
On December 7, 2022, we will see the release of Hunter x Hunter 398. These are the raw scans and they will be extracted directly from the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
Followed by this, the raws will be scanned out and translated by the fans into various languages. The English scans of Hunter x Hunter 398 will be out around December 9, 2022. You can simply google for them.
Lastly, we will have the official English scans of Hunter x Hunter 398. These are supposed to come out on December 11, 2022. You can find them on Viz, Mangaplus websites, and the Shonen Jump app. These sites are legal and free.

Hunter x Hunter 398 Theories
The story of the Cleanup Rangers ended so abruptly. They just screeched to a bad halt. With one key member lost, Chrollo decided to focus on their lost member over continuing the show.
It shows the deep bond between the kids. Hunter x Hunter 398 is going to show what happens to the assailants.
How did Chrollo mobilize the search party?
When everyone was excited for the show to continue, Chrollo came on stage. He clearly told everyone about the situation of Sarasa’s absence. He requested their help to search for her.
Since she was a beloved performer, many people volunteered to search for Sarasa.
With everyone hyped up to find the missing member, the search began. Chrollo himself went on with Uvogin in his bike. Hunter x Hunter 398 might show how the rest of the Troupe used this tragedy to improve themselves.
What did the kids find?
After some searching, Chrollo came into the forest, and there, he faced the truth. There was a tree with a note pinned on it.
Next to it was a bag with Sarasa’s dead body in it. And on her forehead, another note was taped! The other couldn’t, so Chrollo proceeded.
He read the note and decided that he will not share the contents. He will take them to the grave. His eyes showed immense shock and sadness. The group took the body back and they had a funeral for Sarasa.
Hunter x Hunter 398 will show how the memory of Sarasa lived on.
How was the troupe formed?
Chrollo informed me that this was a planned crime. All of it was filmed. Chrollo decided to come up with his system to revolutionize the place in just 3 years.
He planned to make Meteor City the safe haven for criminals. And when those murderers are found, the revenge will be extracted from them.
The troupe was set on improving themselves in these 3 years – to get the tools and knowledge to deal with everything. Chrollo decided that he will become evil itself, in order to ensure that this sort of thing does not happen again.
And with Chrollo as the leader, the Spiders were born. In 3 years, all the kids changed into monsters that the world would fear as the Phantom Troupe. Hunter x Hunter Chapter 398 will show their next move.
