- Denji and Power visit Aki at the hospital. As he wakes up, they tell him about the current situation.
- Aki finds out from his devil that he has about 2 years left to live. He thinks about Himeno and breaks down in tears.
- Denji realises that even though he is friends with a lot of these people, he doesn’t actually feel bad for them.
- Himeno, Aki, Power and even Makima – none of them will actually make him weep. He felt much more about Pochita.
- Denji ends up pondering whether he is losing his humanity after offering up his heart to the devil.
- Makima introduces Denji to Power to Kishibe – he will be their teacher. His task is to make them stronger.
Chainsaw Man Episode 9 Small Recap:
The Ghost Devil managed to revive Denji, by pulling his chain, before it died. Denji woke up to fight once more but again, he got defeated. Meanwhile, Makima survives. In Kyoto, she gets death row inmates lined up. Using her powers, she causes chaos.
One by one, members of Akane’s gang die until Akane and Katana Man are left. Akane realizes that Makima is the cause of all this. Suddenly, Kobeni comes in and manages to rescue the sliced-up Denji. She apologizes for trying to kill him earlier.
Makima returns to Tokyo and sees Madoka resigning. Also, Special Forces 1 to 4 is to be merged. The members that survived are mostly non-human. As for the attacks that took place, her reply is quite unclear.
