The fourth season of Bungo Stray Dogs begins with a flashback showing the origins of the Detective Agency. We are hopeful that we’ll get to see how the young versions of our favorite characters came to work together.
The previous episode saw Fukuzawa tricking Edogawa into thinking he had a special power that helped him to solve crimes in an instant.
As their conversation initiated, Edogawa was able to unravel the riddle in the theatre, but it now appears that a greater danger is at hand after Ranpo is taken hostage by a phony police officer and the play’s playwright is killed in a locked room.
Episode 2 has left viewers curious about the mysterious death of the playwright and we’re hoping in Episode 3 Ranpo will help solve the case once and for all.
When and Where to Watch Bungo Stray Dogs Season 2 Episode 3
The third episode of Bungo Stray Dogs Season 4 will be released on 18 January 2023. It will initially air on TOKYO MX, then on BS11, WOWOW, TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV in Japan.
It is available to stream on Crunchyroll outside of Asian countries and on Prime in some Asian nations.
Nier Automata Episode 3 and Blue Lock Episode 15 are also released soon for fans to watch online.
Bungo Stray Dogs Season 2 Episode 3 Spoilers
While everyone was thinking that the theatre case had been solved, an officer rushes in stating that the playwright had been found dead in his room. Fukuzawa instantly knew that the case wasn’t over yet, if anything this was only the beginning.
Fukuzawa realized that Ranpo had deduced everything from the very start, that there were two sides in this case, and now the young detective was in grave danger. Restless Fukuzawa, he himself proceeds to search for Ranpo.
As soon as he stepped outside he saw something right where Ranpo had left for the police station, it was his business card, where at the back was written “Mitamura is the real culprit”.
Jin Mitamura was the name of the officer who had taken Ranpo with him to a deserted building. Ranpo initially thought that he was brought there to be tortured but Mitamura had different plans.
Mitamura asked Ranpo to join them! When Ranpo refuses again and again, Mitamura becomes enraged and holds out a gun while he’s about to shoot Ranpo, Fukuzawa comes in for the rescue.
It was revealed that Fukuzawa had taken the help of the young assassin, who had killed the secretary in Episode 1. He had suggested where Ranpo might have been taken by the kidnapper.
After all the ruckus Ranpo and Fukuzawa continued to work together solving crimes, and they got a lot of job offers. Rumors had flown that a young detective with supernatural powers could uncover any truth.
Not long after there was no soul in the neighborhood who had not heard of the detective duo – Yukichi Fukuzawa and Edogawa Ranpo.
The Origin of the Detective Agency
One day Fukuzawa requests Ranpo to search for a certain man who was rumored to have connections with the government as well as the underground organizations.
Surely Ranpo finds the man and to his surprise, he turns out to be the victim of the theater incident who was tied up behind the stage, with the same bowler hat just without his cane.
His name was Souseki Natsume, a man rumored to have known everything about the city and a member of a secret government organization, The Special Division for Unusual Powers.
We later get to know that he was an old acquaintance of Ranpo’s father and had played the victim in order to help Ranpo get leads in the incident.
Here, Fukuzawa requests Natsume to grant him permission to start a business in a form of an organization. Because Fukuzawa still wished to help people. He aspired to be the kind of person who would subtly confront evildoers and frighten them into abstinence.
That moment was the start of it all. The start of an Armed Organization whose name would soon become known to all. A group of remarkable skill users who fought for justice and spread dread in the hearts of the evil stood in the shadows.
