Episode 10 Short Recap
The fight between Zaraki and Unohana continues. Unohana dominates as usual. She keeps killing him over and over and heals whoever gets injured. After unleashing her Bankai, it is even more bloody. However, she has a reason.
Even in his childhood, Zaraki was always stronger than her. She was the first opponent who made him enjoy his battle. And in order to save it, he unconsciously suppressed his strength. He has always capped his power, bringing himself down to others’ levels.
Only when he brushes against death, does he get rid of those self-imposed limits. After countless injuries, Zaraki finally overcomes his limiter and taps into his true power. He kills Unohana and finally gets to talk to his Zanpakuto.
As for Ichigo, he meets Nimaiya, the creator of Zanpakuto. He and Renji are thrown in a pit of Asauchi. After nearly 3 days, Renji passes but Ichigo fails. The latter is sent back to the human realm to re-learn his roots.
