Dicathen’s Challenges
Gideon arrived at the castle to inform the rulers about the discovery of the ship which can be assumed to be the enemy’s transport. This news made everyone perplexed and had trouble coming to a decision.
Gideon had no proof that it was the enemy’s ship but he was sure it wasn’t Dicatheous. He was proud of his work, so he placed several markers to prove his work. None of them were present on the ship. Even Lance Varay agreed that the proof was cleaned up on purpose.
Dicathen was moving forward with only one strategy till now. However, this brings forth a new perspective. The enemy has an arsenal of battleships and is capable of thousands of soldiers and mages across the ocean.
Lord Aldir was presiding over the meeting too. Being an Upper Being, he had great insight into situations. There were almost no chances for the enemy to use the ship as bait to split the groups as the tides are changing frequently.
The Dicathen army was having trouble finding the hidden Alacyrans from the Beast Glades and this ship showed the immense possibility of the enemies.
They had based their plans on the information received from Cynethia. As a new variable is found, Lord Aldir advised everyone to prepare for a two-pronged attack.
With the leader of Dwarves dead, they’re short on mages and troops. A few rulers plan on visiting the Kingdom of Darv to ask for their assistance in this battle. They also need to fortify the city along the Western Coast.

Virion’s Challenge To Tess
Earlier Tess had gone outside of the castle with Lance Varay. Virion isn’t upset with Tess’s actions but he was honestly surprised because Tess took so long to get out of the castle.
Tess had also boarded the ship which was discovered earlier. Virion had thought of coming out clean to Tess as she was mature enough to realize a situation.
After calling Tess to his room, Virion played a real-life recording of the battle between Dicathens and Alacyrans five days ago. It was a horrible sight as Dicathens had no chance to resist the enemy.
Virion stated four hundred men were sent into the dungeon and two hundred men and twenty mages were lost in this battle only. Virion commanded them into the battle, so it’s natural that their death is on his shoulders.
Virion had been close with Tess, so he says that he’s restricting Tess to go out for his selfish decisions. He even acknowledged Tess’s skills as a mage and knows that it’ll be a force to reckon with on the battlefield but he just wants to keep her safe.
After showing Tess the video and explaining the situation, he asked if she still wanted to take part in the battle. Tess had no signs of backing down, she agreed and Virion passed her a sword to prove her resolve.
Both started a mock fight in the training arena and were using their Beast Will. Tess was better in using the technique and Virion praised her. She could get to the second stage of the Beast Will which showed her extensive skills.
They had a good fight where Virion assessed her skills. However, she couldn’t land a clean hit on him which made her frustrated.
Virion was proud of her and said that on the battlefield, Tess must address him as Commander and not Grandpa. This shows that he is allowing Tess to take part in this battle.
Commander Virion is changing his tactics and is even willing to use Tess in the battle. Will The Beginning After The End Chapter 167 feature Tess in a deadly battle with the Alacyrans?
